Meet Bill and Laura, third generation owners of TRL.  Their family’s love of the outdoors began back in 1965, when Laura’s grandparents Alvin & Verlene, moved from Nebraska to follow Alvin’s dream of owning a Canadian fishing and hunting resort.  They, along with their seven children, worked hard to fulfill that dream.

In 1979, Alvin & Verlene decided it was time to enjoy some well-earned rest and relaxation and sold to their oldest son Richard and his wife Lucille.

Not long into operating the camp Rick had a vision of not only offering fantastic fishing but for guests to be able to enjoy the sites of the river from their own cabins.  Rick and Lucille spent many years renovating and relocating cabins to the waterfront to ensure that guests got the full experience of vacationing in the Canadian wilderness.  Throughout the years, they, along with their two daughters, worked hard to continue the legacy of offering fantastic fishing and vacationing experiences.  After 30 years Rick and Lucille decided it was time to let another generation step in.

Bill and Laura have had the pleasure of hosting since 2008. With Bill’s love for the outdoors and his many fishing and hunting adventures along with Laura’s experience growing up in the camp, together they share a lifetime of knowledge as to what truly makes for a great vacation.  Bill, Laura and their two sons, Landon and Carter, love to fish, hunt and experience all the wonder this beautiful slice of wilderness has to offer.  It is this love that allows Bill and Laura to follow in their family’s footsteps and provide guests with a truly memorable vacation.
