50 Years!

by Laura 22. January 2015 21:51

We have some exciting events taking place on our Website and Facebook page in the new year as

we celebrate camp being owned and operated in the family for 50 years!

A little camp and family history...

Alvin & Verlene Heithoff first moved from Petersburg Nebraska to camp in the winter of 1965 with their

two daughters Joan & Nancy and their 5 sons Richard, Wayne, Randy, Tom & Terry.

Al and Verlene's oldest son Richard, along with his wife Lucille took over the camp in 1979. They had

two daughters, Kara and myself, Laura. For many years Rick and Lucille owned and operated the camp

while raising their family.

In 2008 my husband Bill Deschamps and I took over camp and now have two boys of our own, Landon

& Carter.  We enjoy camp life and are blessed to be able to raise our children in an environment we all

love so much!

In celebration of Trout River Lodge being in the family for 50 years, all 2015 guests can enter

their names into a draw for a free fishing vacation in 2016! Ask for details upon arrival!

All The Best To You In 2015

by Laura 14. January 2015 03:08

Now that the holidays have passed we hope you have gotten back into the swing of things and that you have had a fantastic start into 2015.

We shared our holidays with Bill's parents and good friends here at camp. We spent a lot of time outside around bonfires, ice fishing & snow shoeing and even fit in a little ball hockey on the lake before we were forced to hide away inside from the cold temperatures.

We have a lot of hockey planned for this winter with the possibility of up to 10 away tournaments! So if you see "Go Lions", "Go Rockets" or "Go Hawks" on our facebook page you know we are at a rink somewhere in Northern Ontario hooting & hollering...cheering on the boys!

We wish you and yours a wonderful 2015 and are excited for the upcoming season!
